Flow LotusScript Logging Engine v1.0 Beta 5 Now Available

October 1st, 2009 by Corey Davis

FlowFlow v1.0 Beta 5 has been released on OpenNTF.org. This version includes a small enhancement called Property Caching.

The Flow Engine’s new Property Caching feature allows developers to set the following properties prior to the Flow document object’s instantiation when using the Flow Engine:

  • LogMailRecipients
  • LogMailSubject
  • LogFileName
  • ViewIcon
  • ContinueText

Previously, code had to be written in a specific order. For example, when logging to an e-mail the engine.LogEventsToMail property had to be enabled prior to setting the mail recipients with engine.LogMailRecipients. Now, when using the Flow Engine class, these properties can be set in any order.

To find out more about Flow please see this previous post. To get your copy of Flow head on over to the Flow project page on OpenNTF.org.

I’m not sure exactly why but this weblog is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end? I’ll check back
later on and see if the problem still exists.

Dien — I have been writing in one form or another for over 20 years, so maybe it just comes a little easier to me. Usually, I think my topic out for several days before I write a single word. When I do sit down to write, I have a pretty clear idea of where I am going. Of course, you will notice that I have not written much in the blog this year as most everything now just goes out on Twitter or Facebook. Which is too bad. I should blog again. Anyway, I hope this helped and thanks for the kind words!

Michael — Yes, I see that too. My hosting provider recently upgraded PHP. I suspect that would be the issue. I will have a look into it.
