Yesterday’s IBM press release announcing the pending shipment of Notes & Domino 8.5.1 contained quotes from Bruce Elgort, David Leedy, and myself. I’m pretty sure that this is the first time that IBM has quoted me in a press release before. But, cool as that may be, my real excitement over this press release was the surprise announcement that the Domino Designer client will now be given away free of charge. I, for one, say that it is about time. Not only does this harken back to days gone by, but what better way to see an influx of Notes-based applications than to give the Designer away for free? Now the countdown to 8.5.1 begins……
