Job Engine

At the heart of Logistic for Lotus Domino is a powerful, job-based processing engine. The job engine was built with simplified configuration as a key design point, but this does not mean it is simplistic. The engine can handle complex, multi-dimensional jobs which can be created effortlessly in a matter of minutes.

Jobs begin with three possible outcomes: Purge, Report, or Notify. From there, simple point-and-click actions allow you to quickly configure jobs based on email age or date, email view/folder location, email form type, email content keyword or phrase for any field (even hidden ones!), file attachment, database owner, Domino server, day of the week, and much more.

Just because you can’t purge all email doesn't mean you should keep it all either. With Logistic for Lotus Domino’s email content and file attachment filtering we can help you keep what you need and purge the rest.

Email purge jobs can be setup to exclude (or include) email:

- With specific words or phrases in the Body or Subject field
- Sent to or by specific email addresses
- With specific file attachments
- Based on specific forms
- With specific values in any field

Content filtering is full-text search compatible for best results.

Email Legal Discovery

Its 3pm and the legal department has just caught wind of a potential case headed their way. They need to see every email in the system that contains the phrase “stock quote” or “stock price” sent to or from all the executive officers and their administrative assistants. And they tell you they need it tomorrow morning.

Ordinarily you’d panic. But not today. Logistic for Lotus Domino has built-in email discovery tools. You simply create a Notify job with content filtering set to include all emails with “stock quote” or “stock price” sent to or from the executives and their AA's and you’re done. You’re home on time for dinner, play with the kids, and in the morning the reports are waiting in your Notes inbox.

Email legal discovery is 100% transparent to the end-user, so it can be used for HR and legal purposes that require confidentiality. You can search for file attachments or any word/phrase in any field in any email. Content searching can even be conditional:

([Body] CONTAINS “project abc” OR “project xyz”)
AND NOT ([Subject] CONTAINS “company confidential”)

Database Statistics

How many users have the latest, corporate approved Domino email template applied? Even worse, how many have accidentally applied the personal address book template to their email database? How many have 1GB email databases? Or how many have more than 60% white space?

These answers are easy to find with Logistic for Lotus Domino. Every time it runs it collects statistics about your users mail databases and tracks them internally in the Logistic database.
